In recent times Swiss based Confidia AG a financial service company and parent company of HowToPay has been the target of online attacks questioning the efficiency and bona fides of this successful multinational entity it was revealed today by a company spokesman, in the new fast paced world of online service payment providers the competition to be at the forefront and with Confidia AG established European networks and its expansion into new economies has led to Confidia and its subsidiary HowToPay being the target of malicious online ‘fake news’ stories, none of which have any credibility, stories such as these have no basis in reality.
“Two of the most difficult problems in the current world of always-on communication are hacking and the spread of ‘fake news’ or misinformation. In some cases, these two problems are combining to create one big headache for online retailers and those who’s business that has a large online footprint” the spokesman said
HowToPay and Confidia AG have been the target of such misinformation, “We are transparent and can be contacted by many methods 24/7 every day of the year whereas fake news posters hide behind fake identities and hacked social media accounts” Mr Cameron McKean the CEO of HowToPay was quoted as saying.
These fake profiles make contact impossible and for those will genuine grievances the process of attending to any issue that may arise is hampered.
Mr McKean stressed that genuine clients do not hide behind fake profiles but reach out for assistance, attempts to contact “clients’ where no record of having dealt with either entity are commonplace, he added “when you work in such a dynamic environment where the competition is high competitors will stop at nothing to gain an advantage which is sad, companies such as ours would rather be known for providing fast efficient and safe payment solutions than spend our time attempting to disparage our competition”
